Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 May 2026
1. Who we are
Twiz Kids (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated as a sole trader / small business based in England. Our contact email is hello@twiz.kids.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account — including by signing in with Google or any other supported sign-in provider — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use Twiz Kids.
3. Who may use Twiz Kids
Twiz Kids accounts may only be created by adults aged 18 or over. The app is intended to be used by children under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or guardian who holds the account.
Where these terms refer to “you”, they refer to the adult account holder.
4. Child accounts and consent
You may invite a child to sign in to Twiz Kids using their own Google account (“child account”). By sending or accepting such an invitation, you confirm that:
- You are the parent or legal guardian of the child, or have been authorised by their parent or guardian to do so;
- You agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of the child; and
- You take responsibility for the child's use of the app and for ensuring it is appropriate for them.
Child accounts can access only the children's practice interface — they cannot access account settings, billing, or other children's data.
5. What Twiz Kids provides
Twiz Kids is a learning tool that helps children practise spelling and times tables through interactive games. We do not provide educational advice, guarantee any learning outcomes, or act as a substitute for school teaching.
6. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by child accounts linked to it.
Please let us know immediately at hello@twiz.kids if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Twiz Kids for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to access, modify, or disrupt systems or data belonging to other users;
- Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or extract data from the app;
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
8. Your content
Any content you add — such as spelling word lists, child names, and school details — remains yours. By adding it, you grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.
9. Intellectual property
The Twiz Kids name, logo, software, and all content we produce (including game designs, fact libraries, and AI-generated suggestions) are our intellectual property and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without our written permission.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Twiz Kids available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, add or remove features, or change how the service works. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, or to discontinue the service entirely, with reasonable notice where possible.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Twiz Kids is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and representations relating to the service.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of Twiz Kids. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which may be zero if the service was provided free of charge).
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or by a notice within the app. Continued use of Twiz Kids after the effective date of updated terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
